New material in the making!

No, we`re not dead...
We`re actually working hard as hell with new material.
The Dels are steamin at the moment.
We`re in a really productive mood, and it feels good. We finally feel we have the time to really sit down, listen to what we`re doing and work out the sound and feel we want. Things are changing around us for the better, and that has given us a new glow. We are also very focused on our goal. And by that I don't mean how many records we are going to sell, but where we want to take our music.
Some clues...
natural not perpetual, naked not nude, organic but don't panic,
live with no bribe and last but not least, real.

Mobile pictures from the process

The author working his phony smile

The dels are soon off to germany

First i have to say that we`re sorry for beeing such lazy bastards when it comes to updating the pages! I wish we had a good excuse, but I`m afraid we dont...Besides too much work, too many kids, too little time, too many damn viruses on my computer, too many beers that needs to be emptied there is no excuse good enough....Anyways,we`re not dead!Far from it!!!
Delaware has never been better! At least we think so...
This saturday we`re playing at the working class hero in drammen.
We`re looking forward to playing a festival again. Festivals are fun.Things like changeovers (Switching the equipment on stage between every band) has do be done in a hurry, theres people everywhere, but still it`s a quite relaxing environment.
But our main focus at the moment, is our trip to germany. We can hardly wait!!Hope to see thousands of fans going crazy in munchen 17. may :D

Cheeers!!

And the journey continues….

So, here we are. One week after album release. One week of hard work and a lot of new experiences. We’ve had more attention toward us in 7 days, than in 3 years since our first album was released. Thank you Strange Ways, thank you MTG, thank you Tom, thank you Jörg Hiller/AMV, KB and fans! I guess a band needs publicity to get self esteem and to know their current position in the music jungle. Hopefully all this together will help us to create better music in the future, make us more lucrative toward bookers and make us able to tour as much as we like.
We’ve gotten mostly overwhelming reviews from the press. Both German and Norwegian, even though there have been a few bad. And that’s how it should be. Constructive criticism and praise helps a band to focus and get better at what they do.
VG-lista (Norwegian official music charts), has until now been a place where the successful and the “crème de la crème” of bands are represented. Today we hit 18th place out of 30. Not bad at all, and definitely not expected.
We’ve felt like, as they say in German, “pechvögel” up till now, but I guess we’re allowed to smile these days.

Say cheeeeees everybody!

See you soon

...last card from london...

This was supposed to be aired while in london, but due to lack of non-encrypted connections in the proximity,
the goodbye-card has been delayed...
Here`s a short summary of our trip to london, the capitol of irland.

The crew was working on a tight schedule.
Joffe leading us through a tight alley.
Joffes underwear caught in a tight crack

This hole was too tight to fit my head into...

Scariest guys in east-london...
Evening mood from the roof
So long,or as they say in london "Au revoir"

....freezing hello from london...

Our first day of shooting has just ended. It`s been a short, but still pretty cold day. Being on a rooftop with only a small thong, is not something I would recommend for shy guys. But a man`s gotta do what a man`s gotta do! The rest of the day will be dedicated to shooting animals. Not for the production of course! That would look pretty silly. Four guys in thongs with an elephant or a dog! There`s a lot of rats here you see. So we`re just gonna have a couple of beers, and then we`re off rat-hunting. The guy on the picture is named petter by the way. I think he play the drums in some band from drammen or something. We really dont care, he`s an asshole.
Cheers!

The dels are now installed in a crowded couch in the east-end of london.Gathering strength for a long and hard saturday filled with cold, foggy english weather, hustlers and thiefs, beggars and hookers, laughter and beer!
Tonight is planningday, but also joffes 30. anniversary :) No more than three beers though.Early to bed, and early to rise...makes a man and woman, miss out on the nightlife...What??

From that to this: What was your favourite present this year?
Join the forum and tell us what made you cry, hug your smelly granny,
say things like "You should`n have" and made you regret wrapping up
"something-old-you-found-lying-around-in-the-garage"
telling your dad it`s an anitc. Now,do it!

Hello everyone

Hello everyone

It’s been a while since I wrote some words in the blog. Joffe and I have been to Germany on a small promo tour. Packed days with interviews for magazines, radio and a photo shoot. We saw the German wish for single for the first time and the single will be released in end of January. Delaware will do more German radio promo sometime in January. (We will keep you informed) If you are in Norway at the moment, then you can hear wish for on national radio. In Norway wish for is just a radio single and will not
be released for sale. Hopefully we will be able to sell the German single
at our live shows here in Norway this spring.

I Richard will do a live set at café moksha here in Drammen on the 20 of December.
It will not include any Delaware songs, but all the songs in the set are
written by me.
CC is 50kr
Hope to see some familiar faces at the café

And by the way have a nice Christmas

Richard

Some photos from Egertorget, Oslo

Here are some photos from the gig for the salvation army at Egertorget in Oslo, 02/12/2005. Bad quality photos, good quality music... According to Dagbladet (the norwegian newspaper who were responsible for the arrangement), there were 400 people watching and they gave 11.000 norwegian kroner total to the salvation army.

Delaware & The Salvation Army!

Delaware will do a concert for The Salvation Army (Norway) at Egertorget in Oslo on Friday the 2nd of December. The second place winner in the Norwegian Idol, Tone Damli Aaberge, will also perform as warm up for Delaware...

Be sure to be there, the concert starts at 4 PM and will of course be one of the most important things you'll attend and support before X-mas...

For more bands during November and December on Egertorget as Street Musicians, see:

See you all there
